It has been a rough week

I am tired.  And bored.  This is all I have the brains for at the moment.

• How far along?: 33 weeks.
• Total weight gain: I don’t think I want to talk about it….
• How big is baby?: the size of a honeydew
• Maternity clothes?: Absolutely
• Stretch marks?: Still none!
• Sleep?: Is getting painful, but still overall pretty good.
• Best moment this week?: The doctor said that she is satisfied that I haven’t made much more progress and can hold off on seeing me for two weeks!
• Movement?: Constantly and I love it!
• Food cravings?: Sweets, of course. And peanut butter.
• Gender?: I am still leaning towards boy, though I have nothing to base that on.
• Labor signs?: Having contractions, 20% effaced, between -3 and -2 station
• Belly button in or out?: It has been flat since about 20 weeks.
• What I miss: My body. Surprised I didn’t say wine? Guess what… I miss that, too.
• What I'm looking forward to: Every afternoon when I can go home and put my swollen feet up.
• Milestone: Every day that the baby stays in and keeps cooking is a milestone.
• Weekly Wisdom: Don’t look at your ass. You won’t recognize it anyway and it ain’t pretty.

As of last Friday, only 15 weeks left!

It's that time again!  Well, not that I've been doing anything on a regular basis, but whatever.

• How far along?: 25 weeks.

• Total weight gain: The doctor says 15lbs, I say 26.

• How big is baby?: the size of am eggplant.

• Maternity clothes?: Yes, please

• Stretch marks?: Not yet and hoping it stays that way!

• Sleep?: Waking up a couple of times during the night, but otherwise sleeping very well.

• Best moment this week?:  Hearing the baby's heartbeat at the doctor's office and getting a good check up.

• Movement?: Very consistent and a lot stronger. I swear the kid almost broke one of my lower ribs the other night.

• Food cravings?: Anything sweet.

• Gender?: Deep down I still think it is a boy.

• Labor signs?: Nope.

• Belly button in or out?: Pretty much flat.

• What I miss: Sitting out in the sun with a glass of wine. Or sitting on my couch with a glass of wine. I miss wine.

• What I'm looking forward to: Getting the furniture all put together and set up.

• Milestone: J can actually see my belly move when the baby kicks now!

• Weekly Wisdom: Read up on all of the unpleasant things that can happen during pregnancy. It is nice to be forewarned.

Ladies and Gentlemen, your halftime entertainment...

Yep... Prince is performing for my halftime show.  Be jealous.

Stats as of the halfway mark:

• How far along?: 20 weeks.
• Total weight gain: With the realization that my scales are approximately 4 lbs off, I think I’m holding steady around 15 lbs. We shall find the correct answer to this question next Wednesday.
• How big is baby?: the size of a cantaloupe.
• Maternity clothes?: Ah, yeah.
• Stretch marks?: Nope.
• Sleep?: Falling asleep before my head hits the pillow, then sleeping off and on between about 3:30 and 5:45 when the alarm goes off.
• Best moment this week?: I felt the baby kick on the outside. It was only once, but it was amazing!
• Movement?: Most definitely! The baby wakes up around 8-8:15, and is constantly moving throughout the day… especially right after I’ve eaten.
• Food cravings?: Still sweets. Although, I would kill for a big ass cheeseburger right now.
• Gender?: I think my mind is set on boy.
• Labor signs?: Nope.
• Belly button in or out?: It is swiftly approaching FLAT.
• What I miss: Same ole’ story… red wine.
• What I'm looking forward to: My big ultrasound is coming up on Wednesday!!!
• Milestone: We are halfway there!!!
• Weekly Wisdom: Sleep or rest any chance you get.

17 weeks today!

For some reason, I am always extremely nervous about doctor's appointments.  The one Wednesday was no different, but as always she said everything looked great!  The baby's heartbeat was 157.  The only odd thing was that she said I had lost 3 pounds.  Umexcusemedowhatnow???  How is that?  My scales were a total of SIX pounds off, on the heavier side, than hers!  I guess I should go by what hers said?

So now she is concerned, J is concerned, my mother is concerned... and I am befuddled.  How in the world did that happen?  And what is wrong with my scales, as they are still six pounds higher than hers???  Color me confused.

Anyway, my lovely family is now stuffing food down my throat and constantly checking up on me.  Fun times, I tell ya.    Well, it has been a while, so here is a new quiz for your entertainment:

How far along?: 17 weeks.

Total weight gain: According to the doc’s scales, I have gained 8 pounds; however, according to my scales I have gained 15. Go figure.

How big is baby?: the size of an onion

Maternity clothes?: Still just my Bella Band.

Stretch marks?: Nope.

Sleep?: Hasn’t been as great as it once was. Some nights I am practically in a coma, other nights I don’t get much sleep at all.

Best moment this week?: Hearing the baby’s hearbeat!

Movement?: Ummm, not sure? I think maybe I’m feeling some flutters, but nothing definite.

Food cravings?: Cheesecake and orange juice (which I have always despised).

Gender?: I’m still thinking boy, but I’m not as confident as I once was.

Labor signs?: Nope.

Belly button in or out?: In, but it oddly seems to be expanding. Twilight zone shizz.

What I miss: I still miss my red wine.

What I'm looking forward to: The big u/s on Feb. 10th! Although, I think we have decided to NOT find out the sex.

Milestone: Not sure if it is a milestone, but even my jeans won’t button now. The Bella Band is needed daily… unless I choose not to get out of my pajamas one day, but of course I would never do that :)

Weekly Wisdom: Let people take care of you. Not that you need it or are taking advantage, but give yourself a break every once in a while.

Welcome to 2nd Tri!

Being in my second trimester seems like such a huge step.  Other than not being so ridiculously exhausted and hungry all the time, I really don't feel much different.  I guess first trimester was mostly uneventful, and that is a good thing.

I've decided that I will start posting a Pregnancy Quiz every once in a while.  Not every week.  So, here goes...

• How far along?: 13 weeks.

• Total weight gain: Holding steady at 8 lbs. What can I say, I was constantly starving for the first two months.

• How big is baby?: the size of a peach

• Maternity clothes?: Just my Bella Band.

• Stretch marks?: Nope.

• Sleep?: Sleeping like the dead, going to the bathroom a couple of times, dozing from about 4 to 6am, then not being able to drag myself out of bed until about 6:20.

• Best moment this week?: Seeing the baby on our surprise ultrasound. He kicked me! I wish I could have felt it.

• Movement?: Not feeling anything, but the u/s showed a very squirmy baby!

• Food cravings?: Carbs and anything sweet.

• Gender?: I’m thinking boy. J called the baby a “she” twice on accident the other night.

• Labor signs?: Nope.

• Belly button in or out?: In

• What I miss: Red wine. I actually stuck my nose in a friend’s glass last night just to be able to smell it.

• What I'm looking forward to: Telling our friends from my hometown on Christmas Eve!

• Milestone: Moving up to second tri and picked our day care this morning.

• Weekly Wisdom: When everything in life is stressing you out, just remember that nothing else is worth the health of your baby. That will straighten your ass out quick.

As I mentioned, J and I picked a day care!  We went to take a tour this morning.  It very nice, and VERY clean.  The lady who owns it is wonderful, and the children all seem so happy.  I thought we would have a harder time, but it was so much fun.  Now if only I could figure out a way to take my baby to day care and yet not have to actually leave him there....  ::sigh::
